 \nWe would like to welcome the participants of the Winter Meeting of the E
 conometric Society 2022 and the participants of the panel discussion on â€
 œInequality and the Future of Laborâ€:\n\n 	Nora Szech (professor at KIT 
 Karlsruhe), 	Jan Eeckout (professor at UPF Barcelona), 	Simon JÃ¤ger (prof
 essor at MIT and CEO of IZA), 	Alexandra Spitz-Oener (professor at HU Berl
 in and deputy director of RF Berlin), 	and the moderator Ursula Weidenfeld
  (economics journalist). \n\n\n\nThe panel will discuss the implications o
 f the future of labor on inequality. How is the future of labor affected b
 y long-term trends, such as demographic change, digitalization and the cli
 mate crisis? What is the effect of the war in Ukraine and the new geopolit
 ical situation? How will these trends affect inequality? What are the main
  challenges and potentials? Can public policy address the challenges and i
