SUMMARY:INSIGHTS skills training: Meeting the press
DESCRIPTION:Schedule I Registration\n\nPress and media outlets are still 
 some of the most important channels in science communication and hold a lo
 t of potential for researchers. But how to deal with the opportunities and
  challenges of interviews, articles and press conferences? How to find the
  right language for the right medium? How to (re)act in interview situatio
 ns with challenging questions?\n\nWe are pleased to have won the science j
 ournalist Armin Himmelrath (Spiegel, Deutschlandfunk, Süddeutsche, etc.) 
 who will conduct our practice-oriented workshop on “Meeting the press”
  to address these and more questions.\n\nThe training is suitable for all 
 BSE post-docs and PhD students. You will receive 1ECTS for your participat
 ion.\n\nIn the hands-on course you will be trained for basic media communi
 cation & language, interview-situations and press conference-participation
 s.\n\nThe training takes place on June 10, 2022 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. WZB Ber
 lin Science Center, Reichpietschufer 50, 10785 Berlin in Room B002  Pleas
 e note that the event will take place on-site at WZB following 2G+ rules a
 nd the hygiene concept of WZB. To register for the training, please send a
  short email with your name, institution and program to maximilian.peuker
 t@wzb.eu by June 6. If you have any further questions regarding the the
