SUMMARY:INSIGHTS skills training: Video interviews
DESCRIPTION:Video interviews with the press and media offer researchers gre
 at potential to achieve a wide outreach. But how to deal with the challeng
 es of interview situations in front of a camera? How to find the right lan
 guage for the format? How to answer challenging questions? We are pleased 
 to have won the science journalist Armin Himmelrath (Spiegel, DLF, SZ etc.
 ) who will conduct our practice-oriented INSIGHTS skills training on “Vi
 deo interviews” to address these and more questions.\n\nThe training is 
 suitable for all post-docs and PhD students. You will receive 1ECTS for yo
 ur participation.\n\nIn the hands-on course you will learn the working met
 hods & requirements of journalists, tools to actively shape interview situ
 ations, speech & presentation exercises in front of microphone and camera 
 incl. evaluation and dealing with interviews under pressure. The share of 
 practical exercises including evaluation is about 2/3 of the workshop time
 .\n\nThe training takes place on Friday, January 27, 2023 9 a.m. – 3 p.m
