  7-9, room 113\n\nThis seminar is open to advanced Master students interes
 ted in empirical economic research in the field of social policy and labor
  markets and to PhD students who specialize in the field of applied microe
 conomics, in particular, in empirical work striving to identify causal eff
 ects (e. g, by applying quasi-experimental methods). The seminar aims to h
 elp students kick starting their first research project respectively first
  research paper. We offer students a forum to present and discuss their ow
 n research project. Presentation of early stage research projects or resea
 rch ideas is encouraged. Active participation in all weekly meetings is ma
 ndatory. Extensive feedback will be provided on the research project, incl
 uding recommendations on how to proceed with their research agenda towards
  their dissertation. The seminar will be also devoted to questions concern
 ing the writing of papers (e.g., abstract and introduction).
