Good to know

My main research focus lies in the intersection of political economics, cultural economics and development. In particular, I look at how migration and diversity affect economic, political and cultural dynamics in sending and receiving countries. I obtained my PhD in November 2018 from the Paris School of Economics under the supervision of Hillel Rapoport, where I also received my M.Sc. in Empirical and Theoretical Economics. Before becoming an Assistant Professor at the Humboldt University, I was an applied economist at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM). I spent the academic year of 2015/16 as an associate at the department of economics at Harvard University under the supervision of Alberto Alesina.
