Ronnie Schöb studied economics at the University of Munich, where he received his PhD in 1994 and his Habilitation in 2000. Before coming to the Freie Universität Berlin in 2007, he taught at the University of Magdeburg. His research interests are in the area of happiness, labor economics, general public economics, reforming the welfare state, optimal taxation, environmental and resource economics.He has published articles in the Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Economics Letters, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
