Joschka is assistant professor of quantitative economics at the University of Potsdam and external researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He obtained his PhD at the University of Bayreuth in 2019. He is an empirical economist doing research on international and environmental economics, as well as econometrics. For example, he has worked on including carbon emissions into quantitative trade models and on the estimation of non-linear panel models with high-dimensional fixed effects. His work has been published amongst others in the Journal of International Economics, the European Economic Review, and the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.
