The Student Representatives of the Berlin School of Economics not only represent the interests and concerns of doctoral students, but also help foster a vibrant and supportive academic community. Throughout the year, they organize a variety of networking and social activities, including welcoming events for first-year students as they begin their doctoral journey, as well as informal gatherings connected to major annual program events, like the Opportunity Day and the Summer Workshop.

These activities play an important role in strengthening connections among students, encouraging academic exchange, and creating a sense of community across the Berlin School of Economics network. However, securing funding for such initiatives remains an ongoing challenge.

We particularly welcome support from our alumni and friends of the Berlin School of Economics. By contributing, you help maintain the strong and collaborative community that has benefited generations of doctoral students.

To support these initiatives, the Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft an der HU e.V., the non-profit association of the School of Business and Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, collects donations on behalf of the Student Representatives. All donations are used exclusively to support student-organized networking and community-building activities.

With annual funding needs of approximately €500 to 1,000, even modest contributions help ensure that these activities can continue to benefit current and future cohorts of doctoral students.
