Manuel Santos Silva is Junior Professor of Economics of Latin America at the Institute of Latin American Studies and the Department of Economics at FU Berlin. Before, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Münster and the University of Göttingen. He holds a PhD in Economics (in the Research Training Group ‘Globalisation and Development’ (GlaD)) from the University of Göttingen, where he also completed a master’s degree in Development Economics.
