Thomas Siedler is Professor of Economics at Universität Potsdam. Before taking up the post, he was Professor of Economics at Universität Hamburg. He received both his PhD and MSc in Applied Economics and Data Analysis at the University of Essex in the UK, as well graduating in economics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Thomas Siedler is also a Research Associate at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER), University of Essex, as well as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn.

He was responsible for developing the innovative e-learning website www.mcempirics.com which comprises over 1,000 introductory econometric questions and answers. Teachers can quickly and easily create tests using mcEmpirics extensive library of questions.

Thomas has had academic articles published in several leading journals including: American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Human Resources, and Demography.
