2nd Berlin PhD Conference in Economics
09:00 am - 06:00 pm iCal file

We are delighted to announce the 2nd Berlin PhD Conference in Economics, taking place from July 6 to July 8, 2026.

Please find the Call for Papers here.

The conference aims to provide a platform for PhD students from all over the world to get together and discuss their research. It is an exceptional opportunity to receive feedback on your work and connect with fellow researchers.

The conference consists of two parallel workshops, divided by fields: Applied Microeconomics and Microeconomic Theory and Behavioral Economics. The three-day program of each workshop involves seminar presentations, poster sessions, and invited keynote lectures by renowned researchers of the respective fields. Application and attendance is restricted to one workshop per participant, however there will be opportunities to connect with participants of both workshops at a joint conference dinner. Please find detailed submissions instruction below.

About the Workshops & How to apply

We have set up separate webpages for each workshop at the addresses below. Please visit the webpage of the workshop you are interested in to find more details about the submission process, the scope of topics, as well as the structure and venue of the events.

We invite submissions from current PhD students (at time of submission). Submissions may take the form of papers or extended abstracts, and we welcome submission of early-stage research. Extended abstracts should be no longer than three pages.

Exception: Berlin based PhD students are highly encouraged to apply, but will be assigned to a poster session.
