The lecture will cover the most important aspects of the Europe's economic development from 1800 until today. Topics include the Industrial Revolution, Demography, Globalization and European integration, Monetary Regimes, Colonialism, and Inequality. In the tutorial, we will discuss recent papers and empirical methods.
