Workshop: From clicks, likes, posts and stories - communicating research in social media
Science communication has continuously developed and professionalised significantly in recent years. Its importance for creating an informed public that trusts science and scientific expertise has become clear for science and politics alike. At the same time, social media is becoming increasingly important not only for institutionalised science communication, but also for communicating researchers.
But where should researchers start? How can they decide which target group they address? And which science communication formats or social media channels should they choose to reach their respective target groups? In this workshop, participants will get to know different channels and learn how to set up their own social media strategy through practical exercises.
The workshop with trainer Janne Steenbeck supports the participants with a mixture of theoretical impulses, individual work phases and discussions of results in the group.
The training is suitable for all BSoE post-docs and PhD students. You will receive 1ECTS for your participation.
