AI tools are currently discussed everywhere as well as their risks and potentials. But how to use them for scientific purposes? What are the risks dealing with them for researchers? We are happy to have won AI-scientist Clara Bersch (MPI Center for Humans and Machines) for a new practice-oriented INSIGHTS training on this matters.
The training takes place on Friday, April 26, 2023
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
WZB Berlin Science Center, Reichpietschufer 50, 10785 Berlin
The training will cover the following points:
- Basics of AI and in particular natural language processing: insight into various AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, text analysis tools), introduction to the use of these tools (including basic knowledge of APIs and programming for beginners).
- Use of AI tools to support the development of research questions and to conduct effective literature searches.
- Text analysis (Part 1) - Introduction: Presentation of various AI tools that can be used for text analysis (e.g. sentiment analysis, topic modelling).
- Text analysis (Part 2) - in-depth: Introduction to more complex analysis methods such as semantic analysis and discourse analysis.
- Techniques for effective communication and presentation of research results with AI tools. Tips for creating comprehensible and appealing content.
