Anna Bindler is Head of the Department Crime, Labor and Inequality at the DIW Berlin and Professor of Applied Microeonomics at the University of Potsdam. Her research interests lie in applied microeconomics, with a particular focus on the economics of crime, labor and inequality. Her recent work has investigated economic and social costs and causes of crime, interactions between labor markets, inequalities and crime, plus the role of policy and institutions in this context.
She received her PhD in Economics from University College London in 2015, and was previously a Postdoc/Assistant Professor at the University of Gothenburg and Associate Professor at the University of Cologne.
