Annica Gehlen is a Ph.D. candidate at the Berlin School of Economics and a research associate at the Department of Public Economics at DIW Berlin. She is interested in labor economics, public economics, and structural econometrics. Annica holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Bonn. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn. Before her Ph.D., she spent a year working as a predoctoral researcher at the Institute of Applied Microeconomics at the University of Bonn. During the fall of 2024, she visited the Department of Economics at Yale University.
