Carsten Schröder is Vice director of the SOEP at DIW Berlin, Head of SOEP's Division of Applied Panel Data Analyses, and Professor of Public Economics and Social Policy at Freie Universität Berlin. His interests lie in the fields of public economics, environmental economics, and economic inequalities. Particularly, he is interested in the (1) evaluation of public policies: from labor market interventions to environmental policies, (2) economic inequalities, and (3) survey methods. With his overall agenda he is trying to make life better by better documenting the trials we face in economic life, and to better understand what public policies can contribute.
