Policymakers in the realm of environmental policy face major challenges, among them limiting greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating local pollution externalities. While a number of policy instruments are available, mitigation efforts can lead to an unequal distribution of benefits and burdens.
The workshop “Effectiveness and Distributional Impacts of Environmental Policy” will discuss current research on environmental policy, with a focus on improving our understanding of the tradeoffs between their effectiveness and distributional impacts. The event is part of the INSIGHTS workshop series at the Berlin School of Economics (BSE).
